Be crazy dumbsaint of the mind.

Whee, such a good mail day today! I got this fabulous letterpress calendar from ilee on etsy:

I bought it to give away, but it's going to be very difficult.

Then I also got some sockies from sockdreams. I wanted over the knee socks that would actually stay up, and I've always heard such great things about sockdreams, so I finally placed an order a few days ago. So far I am not super-jazzed about the O Basics, but I am extra super number one lucky dragon rice bowl jazzed about these:

They are thick, cozy, tall, they fit over my fat knees, and so far they are staying up. They're like leg sweaters.

Now for evidence that I have non-commercial interests, here is one of the things the Brit emailed to me at work today.

I don't know about you, but I want to be an old teahead of time. I do!

  1. I am partial to number 15, telling the true story of the world in inner monolog...

    That's a keeper.

  2. I love my O Basics!! They are over my knees and stay up. I guess every leg loves diffent leg sweaters :)

  3. I am down with all but Rule 3. I cannot live my life within strict parameters like that.

PS, coveting your calendar, much coveting.

  4. kickpleat, I think I was just imagining that they'd be thicker. It's cold like a mofo here, you know. Also I just need them longer/bigger for my leggies.

Violet, there are like 50 more of those calendars in stock and they'd look lovely on your desk.

  5. That calendar reminds me of the Linnea calendar I purchase every year. It's awesome and I display it in an 11x14 inch black frame in my living room as ever-changing art.

That reminds me, I need to order the 2008 calendar.

I am bananas for anything letterpressy. In fact, I'd love to have a tiny letterpress print of this remarkable list from Kerouac to put in my wallet or my pocket or something. Amazing amazing. Thanks. And a belated welcome to the world to your new Willa.

  7. Me too, Michelle, and these little calendar pages just feel so nice. Delicious everything.

  8. letter presss.... droool
