Shit sandwich.

I am really not ever going to blog about my jobby-job, but get this: when I got into work today I found that I'd been moved out of my office. I knew a switch was coming, but what I didn't know is that the new inhabitant of my former office would throw away all of my files and have IT come and take all my equipment away. It was an awesome way to start the day.

  1. May they need something from you someday. Then you can say, "Oh, you have that; it's in the files in your office."

  4. chinesetwine, thanks for the link--but thankfully, I am not in any way a candidate for the saddest cubicle contest. I'm actually lucky enough to have my own office with a door that locks and everything. The guy actually dug my files out of the trash, too, so things could be much, much worse.

  5. This happened to me when I was moved out of a shared cube into a real office and recently things I thought had been tossed just started appearing, a file here, a notebook there. Who knows where they have been or when more might show up. A nice way to start the day though!

  6. erinclot, it just makes you wonder: how effing hard is it to put things in a box? And then say "here's a box of stuff, take it if it's yours?"

I dare someone to try and move my office... it would make them cry.

  8. Not just your, like, Peanuts memo pad, but your actual FILES? I am aghast. (Which is totally fun.)

    Sorry about your officetude.
