This is crazy.

This website is pretty scary. If you click on the portfolio, you can mouse over shots of celebrities and see exactly how much photoshopping the most beautiful and famous among us are subject to. I've always been grossed out by Jezebel's "Photoshop of Horrors" feature, but this site is a whole parade of them. I think my favorite is when women's RIBS are photoshopped away. Shame on you for having bones!

  1. I can see covering up blemishes and redness in the face, but changing the whole shape of someone's body? It just seems mean. Interesting to see they added curves to Eva Longoria but took them away from Beyonce and Kelly Clarkson.

I have a crush on Matthew Macfadyen...been watching him on "MI-5".

  2. Wow. Very eye-opening (ahem). Of all of them, I thought Cate Blanchett was the only one more beautiful BEFORE the retouching. But Nicolette Sheridan and Cameron Diaz were shocking. I don't know how the people who do this sort of thing for a living sleep at night, knowing they're responsible for so much unnecessary plastic surgery, anorexia, bulimia, and agonizing self-flagellation. What a world we live in.

  3. Tina, I totally agree with you about Cate Blanchett. I had the same thought. I didn't look at every single photo, but the ones I did see were appalling. Did you look Penelope Cruz? That was the worst rib slice. They also "corrected" her clavicle. I spent a lot of yesterday feeling up on my skeleton in movement workshops, so I'm extra mad about that stuff.

  4. Noted: freckles = bad. Will remedy immediately.

  5. Me, I LIKE freckles. If it was just retouching to correct some of the obvious lighting, exposure, and colour balance problems I wouldn't mind. But great ghods above - they've made them less human - and less interesting.

  6. I am shocked to learn that these women actually do have ribs. Who do they think they are?
